Once upon a time, a little boy named Danny lived in a small village. One day, Danny and his dog Barko were walking through the park. Danny didn't notice a big rock lying in his path. He suddenly tripped on the rock, and fell down.
"Ouch," cried Danny looking at his shoes. "Oh dear! My shoe is torn," Danny said to himself.
Danny couldn't fix his shoe. He thought, "how can I walk back home without shoes? I will surely hurt my feet. Danny sat there on the road feeling worried and disappointed.
"What should I do Barko?" Danny asked his dog anxiously. Barko barked twice "Woof, woof!" and he ran off.
Danny realized that Barko had a plan. So Danny waited patiently for Barko to return.
After some time, Danny saw Barko hurrying towards him from a distance. As Barko came nearer Danny saw that Barko was carrying another pair of Danny's shoes in his mouth.
Barko dropped the shoes right in front of Danny. "Oh Barko! Thank you for running home and getting me another pair of shoes!" Banny patted Barko and a happy Barko stood there wagging his tail.
Danny wore the good shoes. Both Danny and Barko walked home happily.
