Once there lived a naughty elephant cub named Jumbo. One day Jumbo's mother said, "Jumbo, I am going to collect some fresh fruits for dinner. Don't go out till I come back."
Jumbo nodded his head happily and his mother went out.
Jumbo played for sometime but soon he got bored, and decided to go for a short walk.
On the way he fell into a deep pit. "Hree!" he trumpeted loudly.
Jumbo's mother, who was drinking water from the river, heard Jumbo's cries.
She ran to the pit and pulled out Jumbo with her trunk.
"I am sorry, mamma. If I had obeyed you, then this would never have happened.
From now on, I will always obey you, said Jumbo sadly. Jumbo's mother was happy that her naughty Jumbo had learn the importance of being obedient.
