MAKE FRIENDS WITH OTHER PARENTS

MAKE FRIENDS WITH OTHER PARENTS

"It frightens me every time my son goes off to play with other children. What if he quarrels, or makes some mischief?"  This is a concern shared by a mother.
It is natural for children to mingle with others of his or her age, and play with them. They are quite likely to get into some mischief, too. Yet, is it possible for the parent, to follow children everywhere they go? Definitely not! At the same time, some kind of monitoring should be done to see what children are up to.

One possible way to reconcile these two aspects is to have constant interaction with the other parents of your child's peer group.

Meet them as often as possible, and talk about the character of your child, and how he or she behaves in the company of others. You can share your observations about other children, too, in the same way. It is like getting an added pair of eyes to watch over your child!

You may start this socializing effort with the parents of your child's most intimate friends. This will help to develop brotherly or sisterly affection between the children. Interactions with the other parents will provide great help in identifying and solving problems, and also ways to realize the maximum potential of children.

It would indeed be a good idea to have family get-together s occasionally to discuss your child. Watch and see how such talks can give you greater insights into your child's personality.
